Made from Yew which had a few cracks and abrasions. It was all glued together nicely and finished in 2K clear coat to bond it all nicely. The actual barometer was presented to a Mr Musson for his long service or retirement from Perkins in Peterborough.
The stem was another test on the barley twist machine, wanted to see if a tapered barley twist was possible. So its a bit of a mish mash of left over parts and rustic wood.

The base was originally to be a spaceship. Considering the condition of the wood I am really pleased how it turned out. Rustic I would say, hope Mr Musson would be happy with what I have done.
