Asked to make Maracas was an opportunity to combine wood turning with 3D printing. It was very difficult to make a hollow form that gave a nice sound so I made the end bits on a 3D printer.
Lots of variations were made and various fillings were tried. In the end I made the tops with a screw thread so the client could fill the Marcas with any amount of what ever they wanted.
